Your eBay account has been suspended because of a violation of the eBay Unwelcome and Malicious Buying policy.

MC120 INV NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension- Unwelcome Buyer- Intent to Disrupt a Listing.

Buyers aren’t allowed to buy items or place bids with the intent to disrupt a listing or sale. To review the requirements, please go to:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/unwelcome-buying.html

I can’t believe this I didn’t do anything wrong and my account got suspended. I love eBay it’s so nice how they just suspend your account yet they won’t do anything about buyers negging you maliciously will they? NOPE!

HERE IS THE AUTOMATED RESPONSE YOU GET WHEN YOU TRY AND GET LEGIT FEEDBACK ABUSE REMOVED ON EBAY:

Dear ——,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the negative Feedback you
received from “—–”. I understand your situation and I’m sorry
that you’ve had such difficulty with this transaction.

—–, even though it disappoints us whenever members
receive Feedback that they feel isn’t fair or accurate, we’re unable to
remove them unless they meet some specific requirements. It’s just
unfortunate that this one doesn’t.

To explain, the eBay Feedback System was designed to allow our members to share open and honest information about their experiences with other members, and to maintain this, we’re unable to determine whether Feedback is unfair, untruthful, or harmful.

I realize this may be frustrating, but remember that your eBay
reputation is based on all the Feedback you receive and not a single
comment.

Paypal also wants you to pay a high $179 setup fee then a monthly charge of $19.95 to use this service and this is just the basic payflow link setup, the pro account will cost you a hefty $249 setup fee and a $59.95 monthly usage fee! WHAT A RIP OFF!!

Many a buyer finds herself confused regarding what color feedback to leave. A common post reads as follows: “Well, seller did x, but did not do y. What sort of feedback should I leave?”

OK: if you find yourself in the “gray” area, here’s watcha do. First, do not go directly for RED based on an emotional response to one aspect of the transaction. There are five criteria to rate, not one. It is unfair and irrational to rate the transaction as an overall failure based on one criterion, which is often a very subjective judgment. Maybe you didn’t like that the seller took 5 days to ship instead of 3. Fine. Maybe the seller accidentally sent the wrong product, or the wrong color. Granted. That’s not subjective, but it happens from time to time – even when you order from the biggest in the biz, on or off eBay. We’ll get to the appropriate response in a moment.

Second, own up to the facts if you did not bother to read the item description and/or Terms of Sale. Don’t ding a seller when he does everything right, and you are left disappointed because you did not bother to read his description. That is YOUR fault, not the seller’s. Do not penalize him for your own negligence. I know that this is asking for a lot…

For the sake of argument, let’s assume that you are an intelligent buyer, you have read the description and TOS, but are still at a loss as to what color FB to leave, the “rational” thing to do is look at each area you are asked to assess, and do so on its own merit (1-5, with 5 being the best). Provide your honest assessment of each area, independent of the others. Now, add up your totals and divide by 5, to get an average. Use the following to assign the appropriate color:

Average: Feedback:
1.0 – 2.0 Negative
2.1 – 3.9 Neutral
4.0 – 5.0 Positive

In cases where, for example, you received the wrong size widget, suspend your feedback response until the issue is resolved. Yes, it would be appropriate to give a low rating for “item as described” and also for shipping areas, since now you have to wait longer to get your widget and will likely incur higher shipping costs, if you have to return an item for legitimate reasons. A reasonable seller might reasonably expect to get dinged in the appropriate categories for such an error, and that will be reflected in the color he is due. However, if that precious teacup you ordered has a chip, and the chip is clearly shown in the photo(s), then see my second point above (i.e., own up to your own buyer negligence).

Got it? Super. Now, if eBay would do away with the “emotional” aspect of feedback, and just allow comments along with an automatic assignment of color based on the appropriate average, then we might assuage ourselves of much contempt, concerns, and general unhappiness and friction between buyers and sellers.

Also, under this scheme, buyers might be limited to the total number of 1′s and 2′s they could leave in a given time, based upon purchase volume. This would help to eradicate ourselves of the some of the picky, PITA pests, the malicious/vindictive bidders, nasty, “false negative” competitors, and bad buyers who are using the system to try to extort free goods. Very few sellers are going to fail in every category on a majority of transactions, so it is not quite bright to allow buyers to rate them as if they had. This gives Betty Goodbuyer enough ammunition to rate her transactions accurately and accordingly, but doesn’t give Joe Bandit unlimited ammunition to use to “stick up” sellers day after day. At least in theory…

I suppose that no system is fool-proof, but the current system has surely proven foolish. For the legitimately concerned “good” buyer who isn’t sure what sort of feedback to leave, here is guidance.

I email and chat vigorously with ebay and send many more reports and they still deny removal of such feedback.

Here is their feedback removal guidelines:

on page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-removal.html

It states under the “What are the guidelines” header (5th paragraph):

“A member who left negative or neutral Feedback is later suspended by eBay. In that case, negative or neutral Feedback left by that member is removed. Note: If a member is suspended within 90 days of registration, all Feedback left by that member is removed.”

Ebay fails to even adhere to their own guidelines and policies! They simply refuse to remove this neg feedback on my account, so wft?

Ebay’s Trust & Safety department is a joke and I’ll tell you why..

Buyer buys an item from me which happens to be two camo hats for under $10 bucks with free shipping.

1 or two days go by I email the buyer new payment information and invoice again.

Buyer then emails me back telling me he already paid for 1 which he didn’t.

I then email buyer that he has to pay and give him instructions again.

Buyer emails me and states he found my item elsewhere on ebay for less.

I then email buyer asking him what the item number is so I can match or beat the price and also reminded him with my sale he’s getting two hats/ two diffrent colors.

Buyer then emails me and says he wants to cancel the transaction.

I then tell the buyer “NO” he has to pay because his feedback info was set to private and I wanted him to pay for what he bought. A deadbeat bidder or buyer is someone that clicks “buy it now” and then backs out. Ebay allows this too happen and then on top of that allows the buyers to then neg you.

Buyer then negs me same day, so I call ebay and they transfer me to Trust & Safety which totally does nothing but tell me their policy on feedback removal!.

The feedback the buyer left was rude and untruthful so in my book it should be considered feedback abuse. Feedback abuse on ebay is grounds for removal which they won’t do for me. I got no where so I hung up and told them I would get a court order to get it removed then said that is fine and then they will remove it.

Bottom line here, ebay still after all these years lets deadbeat buyers get away with murder on their system. I guess it has to get worse before they decide to do something about it. And on top of that when you call ebay your wasting your time with a call center outside the USA. (SCAB NON US JOBS) should be grounds for no business in my book!

Don’t use EBAY!
